As a second year A-Level student at Luton Sixth Form College, I have most enjoyed having a lot of freedom. I like the flexibility of study hours, and I like that the facilities are modern and work-focused so I can choose how I'd like to revise: with friends or by myself, with lunch or with headphones. There is always a lively and collaborative atmosphere making it easy to feel motivated. I've taken courses ranging from Beginners to Level 3, meanwhile my Progress Coach and the dedicated Careers team have been helping me decide how to pursue my interests after college. Moving on is easier because the staff treat me like a young adult. It's a fun step up from high school.

The nature of college life fundamentally contrasts that of high school life in more ways than you can imagine. The independence and trust that LSFC gives its students were aspects that I found very refreshing during my first year and were only improved during my second year. You will often find yourself working with your friends in the several study centres available at college during your free periods and enjoying yourself whilst doing so. LSFC students are very fortunate that all are provided with teachers with a real passion for their faculty, which is presented through our excellent education standards.
LSFC’s diversity is significantly enriching as everyone will find their own personal community; if your experience is anything like mine, LSFC is a place where you will find some of your favourite people in the entire world whilst getting an education that will allow you to succeed after your time here.

As a second year at Luton Sixth Form College, I have had many positive experiences in my time here. We have a very diverse student body, highlighted through the culture day events held at the college. It has helped me to feel very comfortable attending this college as our community is extremely welcoming. There is also a sense of freedom and independence that comes with attending LSFC, specifically when it comes to free periods. There are many areas available for studying, including the library and many study centres. However, the most important thing is the quality of teaching. It is clear that the teachers at this college want to see their students do well and will do everything in their power to help us succeed. There is also a very dedicated careers team that are available to help students with university applications, apprenticeships and work experience. All of these factors have made my time here very enjoyable.

I joined Luton Sixth Form College with a very clear and determined vision for what I wanted to pursue further, and I have received full support and guidance from teachers and advisors while working towards my aspirations. Being the Chair of our Student Council, I also got the chance to directly contribute to LSFC enrichment activities through organising and overseeing events with the rest of the student council team, which has been a great addition to my academic studies. LSFC offers great support and recognised high achievers, organising external and on-site events for students. Along with that it has a positive atmosphere to it with many different study spaces as well as our very own Costa Coffee shop.

Luton Sixth Form College is very diverse and inclusive college that is able to support everyone from different backgrounds, cultures and needs. This is one thing I like being a student here at LSFC because I feel equal and very comfortable. For example, I am understood very well and accommodated to my own personal needs such as providing me with a BSL interpreter and note taker. I am also able to ask for any further support I need from the special education need and disability area. All the staff are very supportive and approachable, therefore this really helps me with my level of comfortability to ask for help, if needed.
Another reason I like being a student here is because there are a lot of resources in place for all students to access and to be able to do their best in the subjects they study. There is a huge library and many other study areas available like guided study. We have good working laptops and computers to use as well. Support staff like progress coaches are an important part to me because they help me progress in a positive way with my personal learning and also, I can talk to them about any private problems I may be going through. I am apart of the Student Council, which has benefited me a lot such as my confidence and communication skills – from this experience, I can really see that Luton Sixth Form College is always looking for room for any improvements to be able to support there students further.
I really enjoying learning new things in the subjects that I study and that I would like to pursue a career in one day. One of the most important things I enjoy is being able to make new life-long friends and the overall college student experience.

So far at my time at LSFC I have really enjoyed the amount of freedom and choice you are given. Compared to high school I can now choose where to study and how I do it, whether that’s alone or with friends and in the library or the study centres in school. There is also a positive atmosphere throughout the college with teachers who want to see you do well and who will do what they can to help you succeed.

Luton Sixth Form College has a very diverse and welcoming community, allowing me to feel safe and included. As a second year student, I have been able to take part in the various opportunities offered by the college, and I have gained many positive experiences as a result. I chose LSFC due to the dedicated academic team and the facilities available for developing my independent study skills, allowing me to prepare for the next chapter in my life.

As a former homeschooler my transition to Luton Sixth Form has been a very welcome experience. The staff here are brilliant and the facilities are fantastic. There’s a huge sports hall, well-equipped library and multiple study areas that help me focus and get work done on time, every time. I really enjoy the exciting enrichment opportunities that the college offers, including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, student newspaper and Student Council, which has been an amazing addition to my A-Levels. LSFC has a truly diverse student body, which means I get to know others from diverse backgrounds, cultures, faiths and beliefs each day. The positive ambience here at LSFC is simply outstanding.
