Business

Our Level 2 Business Certificate is designed for students building the grades and confidence they need to progress to Level 3 study, an apprenticeship or employment. You’ll get a practical introduction to how businesses work, from ideas and marketing to money and enterprise, all delivered in a supportive environment tailored to where you’re starting from.

What are the entry requirements?
You'll need at least three grade 3s and one grade 2 at GCSE, including English Language. Level 2 BTEC or OCR Passes count towards this too, worth up to two GCSE grade 3s each.
What will you learn?
You'll get to grips with how businesses start, grow and compete, covering financial planning, sales and customer service, marketing and managing people. You'll examine real businesses and household names, building practical knowledge through presentations, discussions and work-related activities.
What else will I study alongside this course?
This Certificate forms part of a full study programme, alongside two further Level 2 courses. If you don't already hold a grade 4 or above in GCSE English or Maths, you'll continue working towards these, or towards Functional Skills, at the same time.
What happens after this course?
This course builds the foundational skills you need to progress to Level 3 study, such as the Business Level 3 Extended Certificate or Diploma, or to move into a related role. Many Business students go on to careers in finance, sales, administration and marketing.
