Personal Development Fair: connecting you with opportunities beyond the classroom

Every year, LSFC’s Personal Development Fair brings the wider world onto campus, giving you the chance to connect with local charities, non-profits and clubs to find real volunteering roles and build genuine life experience. It’s enrichment in its truest sense: a chance to explore what interests you beyond your timetable, and start building the skills and experience that matter for university applications, apprenticeships and future careers.

What’s on

You’ll find charity and community stalls throughout the fair, where you can meet local non-profits, legal advisors and support groups offering volunteering pathways designed specifically for students. If you’ve been thinking about giving something back to your community, this is the place to start those conversations.

The Enrichment Showcase puts the college’s own clubs and societies front and centre, from the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to Chess Club, Debating and our sports teams. Whether you’re looking to try something new or take an existing interest further, there’s a club here for you.

Throughout the day, you can also catch live demonstrations, including interactive displays like martial arts and fitness sessions, alongside local food trucks and vendors keeping everyone fuelled between stalls.

Why it matters

The Personal Development Fair is about more than a fun day out. It’s a chance to build the wider experience that sets you apart, whether you’re aiming for a top university, an apprenticeship or your first job. Come along, explore what’s on offer, and take the first step towards something new.
