Graphic Design Level 3 Introductory Diploma

Graphic Design combines traditional drawing and painting with digital skills, preparing you for a genuinely varied creative career. From typography to illustration, you’ll build a portfolio that reflects both your technical ability and your creative thinking.

What are the entry requirements?
You’ll need four GCSEs at grades 9 to 4. You'll need a grade 3 in GCSE English and a grade 4 in GCSE Art (or a Merit in Level 2 BTEC Art & Design). GCSE Art & Design Graphics at grade 4, together with a portfolio, will also be considered.
What will you learn?
You'll cover drawing, visual communication, typography and image-making, working across specialist units including animation, character design and digital technology in graphic design.
How much independent study is expected?
You should plan for a minimum of 4.5 hours of independent work each week, continuing brief-based tasks started in the classroom.
What can this course lead to?
Past students have progressed to degrees in Graphic Design, Product Design, Architecture, Illustration and Advertising, or gone straight into the creative industries.
